The racket

Black power, red heart.

The SCUD Black Impact B3 is SCUD's flagship racket: the one you pick when you want to hit hard and hit true. Its shell is woven from 18K carbon, an ultra-flat bidirectional weave of 18,000 filaments that brings extra stiffness and stability at impact.

It is paired with a firm Hard Power EVA foam that returns energy fast: more explosive strikes, maximum power, precision and responsiveness, for a resolutely attacking game. The diamond shape and head-heavy balance put the sweet spot high, right where smashes and decisive volleys are won. The AVS anti-vibration system filters out the jolts that usually travel up the arm, so you can string together intense rallies without giving up playing comfort.

Every racket is finished with hand-applied sanding: silica crystals spread by hand across the surface of the face, an artisanal step that improves the spin you can put on the ball and makes each racket slightly unique. The honeycomb silicone handle, wrapped in a black grip, gives a safer, more comfortable hold that reduces the risk of injury.

Produced as a limited edition and designed in France, the Black Impact B3 is built for attacking players who want black power in the service of a sharp, cutting game, from the first warm-up to match point.

Craft

How the Black Impact B3 is made.

Four workshop steps, the same across the whole range. Only the shell changes from one model to the next: on the Black Impact B3, the weave is 18K.

Macro of a SCUD racket face: the red-walled perforations and, between them, the grain of the hand-applied sanding
Hand-applied sanding
The face goes under the blaster piece by piece, the silica crystals spread by hand rather than sprayed by a machine set once and for all. That grain is what grips the ball on a slice, and it means no two rackets come out quite alike. What sanding changes to spin
Macro of a woven carbon sheet before layup: the flat tows can be counted one by one under a grazing light
The shell
Eighteen thousand filaments per tow: the weave is dense, the shell gives the energy back instead of keeping it. Hence the crisp response — and the clean swing it takes to use it.12K or 18K: the difference on court
Macro of the heart of a SCUD racket: the gunmetal fork and the red AVS mark, just above the grip
AVS system
The device is set into the structure at layup, not added afterwards in the handle. It cuts the shocks before they reach the elbow: it does not change the first strike, it changes the end of the match.
Macro of the honeycomb silicone handle of a SCUD racket before the grip is fitted: a relief of stars and diamonds
Honeycomb grip
Under the grip, the handle is a silicone moulded in stars and diamonds. The relief sits in the palm without needing to be squeezed: less tension over three sets, less strain in the forearm.

Good to know

Frequently asked
questions.

What we get asked most often about the Black Impact B3. The answers apply to the whole range.

What level is the Black Impact B3 designed for?

The Black Impact B3 is built for players who favour an attacking game and high hitting power, from confirmed intermediate to competition level. Its diamond shape and head-heavy balance call for good arm speed.

How does it differ from the other SCUD models?

The Black Impact B3 is our 18K carbon racket, which gives it the most direct and powerful response in the range. The White S3 shares its Hard Power EVA foam with a more forgiving 12K carbon, the Mexique M1 pairs 12K carbon with firm EVA, and the Wood S1 plays the control card with a teardrop shape, 350 g and soft EVA.

What are the delivery and return times?

Your racket ships within 48 h. Shipping is €15 in France and €20 in the rest of the EU, free from €300. You have 30 days to change your mind, return shipping at your expense.
